| 1923 - Charles Bever
and his wife Charlotte founded B & B Cash Grocery in Avon Park, FL. 1930's - The company grew with the opening of smaller grocery stores in the area. 1940's - The company began opening larger grocery stores. 1950's - B & B launched its lower priced U-Save Supermarkets format and began converting many of the chains existing B & B Cash Grocery stores to the U-Save Supermarkets name and format. 2002 - Concentrating more on commercial real estate than supermarkets, the company operates 11 U-Save Supermarkets and 26 Handy Food Stores in the Tampa, Florida area. |
