1935 - Tom Raley opened
his first store in Placerville, CA.
1949 - Mike Bonforte, John's brother, opened a grocery store just
north of Morgan Hill, CA.
1955 - Gim Wong and his wife Lee Shee opened a grocery store named
Bel Air in Scaramento, CA.
1961 - Mike Bonforte opened an ultra-modern supermarket (Nob Hill)
in Morgan Hill, CA.
1978 - The Bonforte's operated 10 Nob Hill supermarkets.
1992 - Bel Air is acquired by Raley's.
1994 - Raley's launches Food Source warehouse format stores in
Folsom, CA.
1998 - Nob Hill Foods is acquired by Raley's.
